Cancellation Policy

Summary: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation does not automatically trigger a refund — see our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.

1. How to Cancel

You have two cancellation options:

  • Account settings: Sign in to (ü)ALTER, navigate to Settings → Subscription, and click “Cancel subscription”. This is the fastest method and takes effect immediately.
  • Email request: Send an email from your registered account email to support@sensebeing.ai with the subject line “Cancellation Request”. We will process it manually within 2 business days.

You are not required to give a reason for cancellation, but if you choose to share one, it helps us improve.

2. When Cancellation Takes Effect

After cancellation:

  • Auto-renewal stops immediately — you will not be charged for the next billing cycle
  • Service continues until the end of the current period — you retain access to all paid features until the last day
  • After expiration, your account automatically downgrades to the Free Explorer plan, and your data is retained (see Section 3 below)

3. What Happens to Your Data

Cancellation does not immediately delete your data. Our retention policy:

  • First 90 days after downgrade: all your uploaded content, AI Agent configuration, and conversation logs remain in read-only access. You can re-subscribe at any time to restore full functionality.
  • Days 91–180: data is retained but not accessible. You may email us to request export or deletion.
  • After day 180: all content is permanently deleted from our systems, except records required by law for retention.

If you want your data deleted immediately, exercise your deletion right as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Reactivation

You may re-subscribe at any time during the 180-day data retention window — all content and configuration will be seamlessly restored. After 180 days, you can still re-subscribe, but you will need to re-upload your content and reconfigure your AI Agent.

5. Cancellation Initiated by Us

In cases of material breach of our Terms of Service (e.g. violation of Acceptable Use, payment failure exceeding 7 days), we may suspend or terminate your subscription. We will notify you by email and provide a reasonable opportunity to cure where feasible. Termination by us does not automatically trigger a refund, except as provided in our Refund Policy.
