Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 24, 2026 · Last Updated: July 2, 2026

1. Who We Are

(ü)ALTER is a product developed and operated by SENSEBEING TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD.. When this Privacy Policy refers to "(ü)ALTER," "we," "us," or "our," it means SENSEBEING TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. acting as the data controller for the (ü)ALTER platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of (ü)ALTER, and limited technical data necessary to operate the service.

Information you provide:

  • Account registration data (name, email address, password)
  • Professional profile information (your area of expertise, service methodology)
  • Content you upload to train your AI Agent (documents, frameworks, session materials)
  • Communications you send to us (support requests, feedback)

Information generated automatically:

  • Usage data (features accessed, session duration, interaction patterns)
  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
  • Conversation logs between your AI Agent and end-users (your clients)

Information you authorize our mobile apps to access (only when you grant the corresponding device permission):

  • Address-book contacts (only those you choose to import, to build and match client profiles)
  • Microphone audio (when you record, to produce notes and summaries)
  • Speech transcripts (notes generated by speech recognition)
  • Calendar event information (to link meetings to the right client)
  • Push-notification tokens and device identifiers (to send reminders and for attribution and analytics)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the (ü)ALTER platform
  • To train and operate your personal AI Agent based on your uploaded methodology
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send transactional communications (receipts, service updates)
  • To respond to your support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded methodology content to train general-purpose AI models. Your professional content belongs to you.

3b. Google User Data and Connected Accounts

When you connect your Google account, (ü)ALTER requests OAuth access only to the Google services you explicitly authorize. Current or planned Google connections include Google Calendar and Gmail.

Google Calendar

  • read your upcoming calendar events so your AI assistant can provide scheduling and briefing assistance; and
  • create or update calendar events on your behalf when you explicitly instruct it to.

Gmail

If you connect Gmail, (ü)ALTER requests read-only Gmail access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly) so it can provide relationship context, communication history, contact-specific summaries, and follow-up suggestions for you. We may access Gmail message metadata, sender and recipient fields, timestamps, subject lines, message snippets, message bodies, thread identifiers, labels, and related mailbox information needed to provide these features.

We access Google data only after you explicitly connect your Google account and use the relevant feature. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Google-derived data is processed and retained only as needed to provide the features you request, and is protected using access controls, encryption in transit, and encryption at rest where applicable.

(ü)ALTER's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train, improve, or develop generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models. Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in (ü)ALTER.

If Google data is processed by AI model providers, that processing is used only to provide the user-requested feature to you; we require providers not to use Google Workspace API data to train their general models.

You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Connectors settings in the app, which immediately revokes our access and deletes stored OAuth tokens. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page, or request deletion of associated data by emailing support@sensebeing.ai. See Data Deletion for details.

3c. Mobile App Permissions (iOS)

Our iOS applications — including Alter Contacts — request the device permissions below. Each is optional, requested only when you use the related feature (never at launch), and can be revoked at any time in the iOS Settings app. Declining a permission disables only that feature; the rest of the app continues to work.

PermissionPurposeDoes data leave your device?
ContactsImport your address book to build and match client profilesOnly contacts you choose to import are synced
MicrophoneRecord conversations, turned into notes and summariesAudio is uploaded for transcription (see "Voice recordings")
Speech RecognitionTranscribe your voice to capture quick notesOn-device where possible; text may sync to your account
CalendarRead your calendar to link meetings to the right clientEvent information is synced to your account
NotificationsSend reminders and follow-up alerts you ask forDevice push token only

Voice recordings:

When you record a conversation in the app, audio is processed by our speech-to-text sub-processor (Soniox). Recordings and transcripts are stored in your account so you can review them, and are deleted when you delete the recording or your account. We do not use your recordings to train general-purpose AI models. The app may use a background audio mode while a recording is in progress.

Sign in with Apple:

Where you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive only the name and email you choose to share (including Apple's private relay address), used solely to create and secure your account.

You can review or revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security (or Settings › [App]). Revoking a permission does not delete data already synced to your account — to delete that, see "Account and Data Deletion" below.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers using industry-standard encryption. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we are committed to maintaining reasonable safeguards.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not permit any sub-processor to use it for purposes outside this agreement.

5b. International Data Transfers

(ü)ALTER is operated by a Singapore company, but some of our sub-processors operate from other jurisdictions (see the table above). When data leaves Singapore or your jurisdiction, we protect it under the cross-border transfer obligations of the Singapore PDPA, EU GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses, and (where applicable) the California CCPA framework.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")

6b. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time — directly in the app (Settings › Account › Delete Account) or by emailing support@sensebeing.ai.

Deleting your account removes your profile, uploaded content, contacts you imported, calendar links, and voice recordings and transcripts from our active systems; backups are purged within 30 days. Some records may be retained where required by law (e.g. tax or transaction records) until the statutory period expires.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the platform to function, and optional analytics cookies to understand usage patterns. You may disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie preferences panel.

7b. Analytics, Attribution and the Advertising Identifier

In our mobile apps we use PostHog for product analytics (which features are used, plus crash and performance data) and AppsFlyer for install attribution (to understand which channel led you to download the app). AppsFlyer may request access to your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

Where required, we ask for your consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, we do not access the IDFA and attribution falls back to privacy-preserving signals that do not track you. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

We do not use this data to build an advertising profile about you, and we do not sell it to third parties. Analytics and attribution data are used only to measure and improve the product.

8. Children's Privacy

(ü)ALTER is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of (ü)ALTER after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
